Come and learn about the South Australian State Rescue Helicopter Service during Public Sector Week 2009!

The “MAC (Motor Accident Commission) Rescue Helicopter Service” is a shared-user helicopter service utilised by four emergency service agencies in providing critical support to the South Australian community.

From emergency medical retrievals to search and rescue operations, high speedcriminal pursuits, and bushfire management operations, the helicopters provide a flexible and effective service which ultimately helps save lives.

Join SA Health (MedSTAR Emergency Medical Retrieval Service), SA AmbulanceService, and SA Police as they demonstrate their roles in responding to an emergency situation and describe the tasks they undertake with the aircraft.

Opportunity to see the helicopters up close and personal.

Conditions:

Hat/sun protective gear recommended. Also note if the helicopters are required for real life emergencies, they may not be available for the event, however user agency staff will still be available for questions.
